National Chemistry Week Celebration

Thursday, October 21

Join us as we celebrate this year's theme, "Behind the Scenes with Chemistry." Learn about the difference between the special effects that we see in television and movies and the real science behind the visual drama. Watch special presentations by Museum of Science educators and local leaders in pyrotechnic design who deliver the some of the world's best pyrotechnics while maintaining the highest degree of safety.

National Chemistry Week volunteers will also be on-hand to assist in hands-on activities related to this year's theme.

Activities: 9:30 a.m. - 1:00 p.m.; lectures: 10:00 and 11:15 a.m.
